When Life Gets Shaky

In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?    – Psalm 11:1-3

“Fear not” is in the Bible 365 times, one for every day of the year, yet most of us live in this world with uncertainty and fear. We have troubles, afflictions, sickness that assault our faith, yet God is still on the throne.

What do you do when life gets shaky?

  1. Remember you are covered by the blood of Jesus. Not just Sunday morning, but every day of the week you are covered by the blood of the Lamb.
  2. Trust in God for your needs.  He can be relied on and He is your hiding place in times of trouble. (Isaiah 26)

Use your shield of faith as described in Ephesians 6 and you will be able overcome the things that you struggle with. The Bible reminds us that everything that we go through is common, others have already been through what you are going through. We just need to be strong in the Lord. What shakes you, does not have to break you. You have power in the Lord.
