The Book of Ezekiel, Ch. 25: 15-17
Thus saith the Lord God; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred; Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast. And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them. – Ezekiel 25:15-17 (KJV)
What does it meant to walk in the Spirit?
You can be faithful to church, pay your tithes, be a witness and still not walk in the Spirit. The Spirit works within the confines of what Jesus Christ has done on the cross. Walking in the Spirit refers to our total dependence on Jesus, not ourselves, and our flesh. We need the Holy Spirit operating in our services, more than we need the most talented people leading our services. When the Holy Spirit works through that talent, it will touch your soul. Walking in the flesh is a rebellion of the Lord. We are either functioning in grace or in flesh, and there is no in between.
Romans 6:14 tells us that we are not under the law, we are under grace (which only comes from Jesus’ sacrifice). Religious laws made by man won’t save you, the only thing that will is a relationship with Jesus and living for HIM.
