Stewardship That Multiplies

Luke 16:1-9

The man in this story is an embezzler.  He has robbed his employer and done wrong, but at the end of the story he proves to be wiser than his previous actions.  He brings in creditors and offers them a deal so that he knows that when he loses his job, he has people he can lean on.  The unjust steward is not to be commended for his actions, but he was commended for looking beyond his situation and to the future.

This is a lessen to us because as a steward it is our job to help others reach their heavenly destination. You probably have plans for your retirement, for how each dollar you earn will be spent, but do you plan on how you will share God’s grace with others? We are meant to share about the goodness of Jesus to others.  We don’t need but so much (GOD), but we put a lot of stock in things we do not need instead of Him.

Be a fruit producer, not a storage unit.

Today ask yourself:

Have I put more interest and focus on earthly things, than I have on where I say I believe I will reside eternally?  Have I done enough to guide those I love to Jesus?
