The Book of Ezekiel is a reminder for us to seek out the Lord in the dark times when we feel lost, to examine our own lives, and to align ourselves with the one true God.

In Chapter 16 we see the absolute LOVE God has for Jerusalem revealed in atonement.  Much like the love he has for each of us in the USA.  God is the one thread that will continue to hold us together as a nation if we simply choose to turn away from evil and align ourselves with him.
