Catalyst of Tithing

“I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.  Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you,” says the Lord Almighty. “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’  “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me. “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’ “In tithes and offerings.  You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me.  Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.  I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the Lord Almighty. – Malachi 3:6-11

The stewardship of tithing is simple: everything we have is owed to God. One of the most important things we can do in regards to our financial planning is to be a tither.  Tithing is a form of worship and honor to our Lord and the purpose of it is to grow us as believers and Christians.

Catalysts of the spiritual world:

Prayer: God answers prayers.

Tithing: Tithing is an act of obedience.  Although the tithes and offerings are put to use for the church, the most significant result is what it does in you and I. When we tithe, it is the act of putting God first. You are prioritizing God ahead of all the other things in your life.

God’s intent is to bless others in many ways, including financially and spiritually.

If you are not a tither, it is time to recognize who God is in your life.

If you are in debt, budget and get out from under your debt.  Budget your tithes.

If you are faithful in tithing, you will be blessed.
